My Approach
No matter where you’ve been or what you’ve gone through, your experiences and emotions are valid. I offer a safe, collaborative space where we can explore what brings you here and move toward clarity and growth at your own pace.
My approach blends mindfulness, body awareness, IFS therapy, and sometimes EMDR to help bring understanding, healing, and connection to your authentic self. I also hold space for how culture and society shape our experiences, honoring both the inner and outer parts of your story.
As a fellow sensitive and deep thinker, I approach this work with compassion and curiosity. I’ll support you as you find balance, confidence, and calm.
My office is a safe and inclusive space for all.
My IFS Training
The IFS Institute recognizes several levels of IFS training, from IFS-Informed to Level 3 and full certification. Each level represents a genuine commitment to the model and to this work.
I am currently IFS Level 2 trained, with Level 3 expected in October 2026 and full certification expected by the end of 2026. Only a small number of therapists in Texas hold either of these, let alone both. I’ve had thousands of hours of experience providing IFS therapy to clients and nearly 300 hours of official IFS training and consultation with IFS Certified Consultants.
What that means for you is that when we do IFS work together, we're working with the full model at its deepest level. If you've worked with an IFS informed therapist and felt ready to go further, that depth of training can make the difference.
Outside the Therapy Room
I’m originally from Austin and Pflugerville, Texas, and my path to becoming a therapist has taken a few creative turns along the way. Before counseling, I taught elementary music and later worked as a school counselor, but eventually found my home in this work of connection and healing.
My healing journey began early. I was a sensitive kid who often felt responsible for others’ emotions and knew what it was like to feel unseen and unheard. Like many, I experienced trauma and neglect that shaped how I saw myself and the world. Through therapy and recovery, I learned who I really am: compassionate, genuine, and deeply grateful to do this work. Through IFS and self-discovery, I’ve learned that healing isn’t about perfection, it’s about coming home to yourself.
Outside of work, I’m a creative goofball who sings, crochets, paints, and bakes sourdough (and I’m pretty great at it). I quote 80s and 90s movies like they’re part of my everyday language. Music still brings me joy, and I’ve had the privilege of singing with groups like the Detroit Opera, the Richmond Symphony Chorus, and the San Antonio Chamber Choir. I’m passionate about animals and share life with my equally quirky husband and two tiny mutt pups. After many moves across country, we plan to return to Austin in summer 2027.
